A few years ago, Jérôme Fréling started a netlabel in conjunction with his blog. Have A Good Night is a compilation of lullabies from some of his favorite artists. And the whole stuff has become bigger and bigger. The music is freely available for download as are a selection of hand drawn covers by chidren. Artists include Ramona Cordova, Dawn Landes, The Metasiences, Salim and Faris Nourallah and Lisa Cerbone, the Konki Duet, Milkymee, Eric Ramsey, Dawn Landes, Helluvah, Vale Poher...

"En fransk bloggare, Jérôme, har startat ett nätbaserat skivbolag vid namn blog up musique. Första skivan som släpps är en samling lullabies vid namn "Have A Good Night". Skivan kom till när Jérôme blev far till dottern Galla. En artist vid namn Faris Nourallah skrev då en låt som födelsedagspresent, med just namnet Galla. Sagt och gjort, fler artister ombads skriva vaggvisor, och till slut kom det att bli en samlingsskiva med 17 spår. Låtarna är bra, väldigt bra. Jag föreslår därför att ni lyssnar också, det är helt gratis! Vill ni ha ett konvolut så finns det tio olika att välja mellan, alla är ritade av barn.

Harmonica and drumming! Is there no end to Janet Weiss' talents ? She looks like she could whoop some ass... These girls are so diversely talented. I opened for them in 2002 @ La guinguette pirate. I was sooooooo shy and clumsy when I met them backstage ahahahhah!

One could think that the song starts sounding like crap about halfway through. It's probably SK and Dave Friedman's choice - their producer. I think it sounds amazing when the drums come in. The drums mikes are pushed to their limit so they break up and get distorted. I JUST LOVE THAT CRAPPY SOUND.

Last spring we picked our instruments and started playing together, after a while we went out and played for the kids and the people of our neighborhood, and I know I always say I don t ever wanna have a regular band, but I guess if those guys accepted, I would play and tour with them forever.

It's cold and grey but Konki duets Zoé makes my heart beat faster.

Voilà.
